Falcon Men's Volleyball Opening Week

Falcon Men's Volleyball opened up their week Monday at the West Ridge Jamboree against Science Hill, Dobyns-Bennett, and David Crockett. The Falcon's fell to Science Hill and to Dobyns-Bennett, but came back for the final matchup of the day against David-Crockett winning 25 to 19.

From the Coaches on Thursday: "The men's volleyball season didn’t start the way we wanted but we are thankful it’s only the start. We faced a tough matchup with the defending Conference and Tournament champions from last year in TN High losing 25-9 and 25-14. Though we have a core of seniors, many are first year starters. Also, among the remaining starts are a first sophomore and freshman. Despite the tough lose the team came out strong against West Ridge and kept the first set close until the final 5 points which was a loss 25-19. Losing by 6 was tough because we had 10 unforced errors. The final set got away from us as we struggled to keep our composure after some more errors and a tough call that didn’t go our way. A few highlights include some great passes by freshman libero Charlie Barton, 2 block kills from Avrey Croyle, and 4 aces from Ryder Ford. "

They play Saturday, April 6th, at Science Hill’s Men’s Volleyball Showcase.
